My Work

At a time when a broad range of professions demand that those pursuing them have a digital presence, it can be difficult for clients to know where to start. This is where I have found and continue to develop my passion: Helping up and coming artists build their career in what they do, while I support with how this story can be told as a brand in the online space.

Through pursuing this passion, I have had the opportunity to work with a range of creators including musicians, local artists, athletes, and content creators. In doing so, I have gained valuable experience in skills such as creative direction, content strategy, outreach, project management, and client partnerships. I continue to hone these skills through ongoing work.

In addition to individual client work, I have had the opportunity to develop my skillset for partnerships and collaboration in a corporate context. Through working in a corporate outreach position where I managed partnerships with companies like Cliff, Arc’teryx, Starbucks, and Lululemon, I learned that effective storytelling starts with the work that goes on behind the scenes to cultivate meaningful client-partner relationships.

A background in design and current media work allow me to explore thoughtful and compelling narratives that combine aesthetic craftsmanship with meaningful digital approaches

My professional development has been heavily supported by the hard skills that I have been able to practice in my degree work. Through my background in design, I have gained a technical understanding in all of Adobe Suite, as well as in rendering software such as AutoCad and Rhino. Although I do not actively do work as a designer, I strongly believe that this background has provided me a unique toolkit for storytelling and creative media work.

Furthermore, I have had the opportunity in my current degree to pursue a range of multimedia projects under both the Faculty of Creative Writing at UBC where I have received hands-on podcast training and experience, as well as under the supervision of the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism, where I am currently producing multimedia articles where I am utilizing photography, interviewing, audio editing, writing, and web-development skills in a graduate-level environment.

Involvement

I am fortunate to be involved with some incredible organizations, whom allow me to learn and grow through working with them. Especially during my time as a visiting scholar at Berkeley, it has been extremely rewarding to be involved in such a valuable network of media and non-media organizations in various capacities.

These organizations include KALX Radio Berkeley, the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism, The UC Berkeley outdoors division; Cal Adventures, and the Berkeley Graduate Centre for New Media.

My Values

  • I strongly believe that any opportunity to learn is a privilege. And, I’ve been lucky enough to learn in some amazing spaces, from some very cool humans. I actively seek out spaces and people that will challenge me to grow and shape my worldview.

  • There is no learning without asking questions, and I’ve never regretted taking the time to ask a good question. I have no interest in being the expert in the room and believe that there is no space for ego in good work.

  • It’s easy to fake it till you make it in the digital space, but I’ve learned that all the beauty of working with people gets lost if your heart isn’t in it. For me, storytelling is born from sincerity, and I carry this philosophy through to my professional partnerships.

  • In a field with the potential to shape global dialogue, there is a responsibility to make space for how this conversation can be used for good. For me, this means taking every opportunity to elevate and make space for voices on the margins both behind and on the scene.

  • After all, it’s what makes it all worth it. I consistently work to cultivate a safe, fun space with open communication with all of my clients and hold this as a priority in everything that I do.
