Who I am

Among other direct effects of a rapidly changing media landscape, the way that we as content developers are able to story tell and build meaningful brands has been revolutionized.

The Story So Far

I have always been drawn to creative spaces, and at heart will always place craftsmanship first. With a background in architecture, where I started my post-secondary educational journey, much of the past year of my life has been dedicated to translating knowledge regarding the physical interface of our world to how we interact with digital interfaces. Through this process, I have been able to holistically learn what it is to understand the needs of the world around me and respond to them in informed and meaningful ways.

Throughout my educational journey, I have had the privilege to learn at some of the best public institutions in the world– The University of British Columbia and currently, as a visiting scholar at the The University of California, Berkeley. I am grateful for the opportunities that I have had at each of these schools, which include involvement with the UBC School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture, the UBC faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, the UC Berkeley Media Studies Department, the Berkeley Graduate Centre for New Media, and the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism. The interdisciplinary nature of my educational experience has allowed me to shape a clear understanding of my passion for work in the digital space, and has allowed me the agency to pursue a variety of educational opportunities which have rounded out my understanding of an area which is extremely multidimensional by nature.

Having grown up in Canada and now being located in Berkeley, California, I am enjoying connecting with both the professional and academic community within the American context, and contributing an international perspective where I can. When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me embracing the California experience by learning to sail, surfing, swimming in the Bay, at an obscure house concert, or taking care of my garden.
